A San Antonio Lead Hospitalist job may be a perfect complement to your leadership skills and previous hospitalist training.

San Antonio Lead Hospitalist Opportunity

Are you an experienced Hospitalist who’s already accumulated some valuable practice experience?

Have you previously managed other physician’s work activities? Maybe as a Chief Resident or a similar physician management position?

If so, a large and extremely well-respected 5-hospital network has a hospitalist opportunity that may be perfect for you! This San Antonio Hospitalist job performing as a Lead Hospitalist is an employed position with the healthcare system’s Physician Network. (Hospitalist employment status is made available via a 501(a) entity.)

Lead Hospitalist Position

Each of the 4 network’s hospitalist teams has a Lead Hospitalist who coordinates the activities of the group. Since you do have additional responsibilities, you are amply rewarded for the extra duties the position requires.

Starting salary for a Lead Hospitalist is $200,000 per year. $20,000 more than those on your team. But salary is only one factor in the compensation program. There’s more!

Hospitalists also receive Quality & Production Bonuses. Bonuses earned are currently in the $100k per year range – and even higher.

You’ll be working 18 shifts per month including 2 weekends. (With 30 days in a month … you’re ‘off’ for 12) That’s 149 days in the course of a year you’re enjoying your free time. Your IM counterparts working an outpatient practice typically have only 139 days away from work each year.

Your average patient load is only 16-18 patients per shift. We DON’T want you caring for any more than that. You won’t be spread too thin working yourself ragged, trying to keep up with a bloated patient schedule. Quality care is too important to us.

If you would like to take in more shifts than the 18 during the month, you’ll receive $90 per hour for each 7p-7a shift you work. That’s $1080 per night shift!

Still need more compensation? Okay!

You’ll also be receiving a $20,000 signing bonus for joining our collegial team!

Perks For The San Antonio Lead Hospitalist Position

As an employed physician in the network, you’re entitled to a whole host of benefits. Of course, if you had to pay for these benefits, it would cost you thousands of dollars per year for similar coverage. They are included and provided to you in the employment package when you join the team.

Your employed status as a San Antonio Lead Hospitalist covers you with health, life, dental, and disability insurance. Plus you can partake in the retirement saving plan options (401k) with matching funds. Additionally, your malpractice premium is taken care of as well. This coverage comes with ‘tail’ if you should ever decide to leave the network.

You also have a yearly CME allowance of $2,500 to stay abreast with the latest hospital medicine developments.

Of course you actually have to move to San Antonio to accept a position! We are there to help with your transition to the Alamo City via a $10,000 relocation allowance.

And you’ll love living, working, playing and raising a family in our great little city. (Well, it’s not too ‘little’. San Antonio is the 7th largest city in the U.S. and a metro population around 2 million.)

A Lead Hospitalist Position With A San Antonio Leader

You’ll be joining forces with the largest healthcare network in the city. With 5 hospitals located within the city, plus a number of community clinics, the network has 36% of the local market share.

The Regional hospital ‘pulls’’ from communities in South Texas, West Texas, and even the interior cities of Mexico. You’ll be apart of a large, stable, superior health delivery system.

It is not just a biased opinion regarding the strength and reputation of this hospital network, Medicare thinks so too.

The hospital network is the only healthcare provider in Texas — and only one of five in the entire country – that was selected by Medicare as a demonstration site for the ACE program.

ACE stands for Acute Care Episode and the program pilots with 9 orthopedic and 28 cardiac DRG’s. The goal is to improve quality and efficiency of care and generate savings that will be shared among providers, beneficiaries and CMS.

Recap Of the San Antonio Lead Hospitalist Position

Let’s put it all together what you’re entitled to as a Lead Hospitalist.

• Compensation (salary+production bonus+quality bonus) in the $300k range

• Signing bonus $20,000

• Reimbursed moving expenses up to $10,000

• 18 shifts per month

• Average patient load of 16 – 18 per day

Nocturnist opportunity in San Antonio offering a very competitive compensation package, full benefits - and much more! See what's in store for you as a Nocturnist in San Antonio, TX.

Nocturnist San Antonio Texas

A 5-hospital healthcare network in San Antonio is currently interviewing for their Nocturnist program. This is an employed position with the hospital’s Physician Network. (A 501(a) entity.)

Nocturnist: Features and Compensation

As a San Antonio Nocturnist, you’ll be working 7p – 7a for a total of 16 shifts per month. This is typically set up as 7 on and 7 off but variations of this schedule are individually tailored between you and the collegial hospitalist team.

Your compensation is a combination of the Base Salary + Quality Bonus + Productivity Bonus. Our nocturnists are earning in the neighborhood of $265,000 – plus.

Interested in significantly increasing your compensation range? Well you can with the addition of extra shifts above and beyond the required 16 shifts per month.

For each extra 7p-7a shift worked in the hospital, you’re entitled to an hourly rate of $90 (that’s $1,080 for the shift worked).

Your annual compensation is also increased based on the total Relative Value Units performed. (Worked RVUs are credited at $48 each.) The more RVUs collected beyond the base, the more you make.

Additional Nocturnist Bonuses

You’re entitled to a $20,000 signing bonus

Moving expenses reimburse up to $10,000

* An Unadvertised Nocturnist Bonus *

Have you accumulated some substantial student debt? (Yes, that’s a dumb question!) But it’s poised because if you commit to being a Nocturnist, we can assist you with paying off some of your education burden to the tune of $48,000 !

Be sure to ask about the medical school loan reimbursement program for Nocturnists.

Concerns About The Night Shift?

It’s understandable you may have some reservations about working nights and not having colleagues close at hand for consultations. Especially with ICU patients. But we’ve got that covered.

Our hospitals are equipped with the eICU program. eICU is an extremely high-tech, continuous monitoring system that’s staffed by an Intensivist.

The eICU system provides constant surveillance; providing the patient with immediate physician access and arming you, the Nocturnist, with the patient information you need to make the right decisions — quickly. Studies show that this care model can reduce ICU mortality by up to 30%.

The eICU provides the constant care your patients deserve; a trained pair of eyes continually monitoring all your ICU patients’ vitals. And the eICU provides a great of piece of mind for you. You’re never ‘all alone’ working the night shift.

San Antonio: A Great Place To Call Home

San Antonio is now the 7th largest city in the U.S. As such, you will find a wide range of cultural diversities and practically any lifestyle enhancing amenity you desire. S.A. has it all!

The home of this Nocturnist position is with a well-respected hospital network. The hospital system is proud to have the best geographic coverage of this extended city of 2 million people. And as a leader in San Antonio’s healthcare, they’ve worked hard to achieve the 36% market share they now enjoy.

But their accolades go way beyond the Greater San Antonio area. The network is the only healthcare provider in all of Texas (and only one of five in the entire country) that Medicare selected as an ACE Program demonstration site.

The network has invested heavily in their facilities to stay atop their game. Since 2003, a half a BILLION dollars has been effectively employed in facilities, equipment, and recruiting top-tier physicians. But we still need you!

Nocturnist Opportunity Recap:

To quickly summarize just some of the exciting components to a San Antonio Nocturnist opportunity:

$265,000 plus for Base Salary+Productivity & Quality Bonuses

$20,000 signing bonus

$10,000 relocation reimbursement

Education Loan Reimbursement Program – $48,000

Only 16 shifts per month

Plus the ability to earn via RVUs and extra shifts worked beyond the base of 16 shifts per month.

San Antonio Hospitalist jobs are currently available. Due to growth factors and bringing the Hospitalist function in-house, opens an incredible hospitalist practice opportunity for you!

Welcome To San Antonio Hospitalist Jobs!

Thanks for visiting San Antonio hospitalist jobs. It’s an exciting time with the growth of our hospital network – and – a great professional opportunity for you!

First a little background ….

A major hospital network in San Antonio made the bold step to bring our Hospitalist services in-house rather than contracting it out to an independent provider.

So far it’s proved to be a great move for our hospitalist physicians involved. The move has improved the level of patient care and it’s harmoniously working out for the hospital and the referring physicians. It’s a win-win-win any way you look at it.

But we still need more quality hospitalists to turn this valuable service into a truly functional, well orchestrated effort. We need you … and the quality care-giving services you provide!

San Antonio Hospitalist Recruiting Package

As the professional industry demands for hospitalist grows, so too does the competition for highly qualified physicians.

Our hospital network understands that and has compiled an excellent recruiting package to entice you to consider working – and living – here in the Alamo City. (We’ll get to the benefits of living, working and playing in San Antonio in just a minute!)

San Antonio Hospitalist Compensation

Let’s take a look at the numbers. The hospitalist compensation is a combination of base salary, worked RVUs and a Quality bonus. Our hospitalists are currently earning $280k – $300k – plus - a year.

Plus, there’s a $20,000 signing bonus

There are only 18 required shifts per month (to include 2 weekends). That provides you with 149 days off a year! Lots of time to truly explore all what San Antonio has to offer.

As an employee of the hospital’s 501(a) entity Physician Network, you’re privy to a whole host of benefits, including:

Health

Dental

Life

Disability

Medical malpractice insurance with tail

CME allowance of $2,500 each year

401K plan with match

Your moving expenses are reimbursed up to $10k. As you can see, we are serious about making you a generous offer!

Your Life As A San Antonio Hospitalist

As a hospitalist in the Physicians’ Network you be extending your life-saving care on 18 shifts per month to include 2 weekends. (That’s a whopping 149 days off each year!)

Your average patient load will be around 18 hospitalized patients per day.

What, you don’t need 149 days off each month? You can always work – and earn – more!

If you’re eager for additional cash, you’ll be compensated at the rate of $90 per hour for working night shifts (7 pm -7 am). (That’s at least an additional $1,080 per extra shift you work!)

For extra day shifts worked above the 18 required, you’ll receive $100 per hour working the 7a – 7p shift.

And there’s more to the compensation package but this should provide you a bit of insight into what you’ll be earning if you’re receptive to joining our Team.

If you’re an experienced Hospitalist or your previous duties involved managing other physicians, you may have an interest in a Lead Hospitalist opportunity.

A Lead Hospitalist’s base salary starts off $20,000 higher than a non-leadership hospitalist. The extra $20k credits you for the valuable experience you’ve already attained and the leaderhip you’ll provide.

Plus as a Lead, you’re also earning a Productivity Bonus and the Quality Bonus too.

Interested In A SATX Nocturnist Position?

Living In San Antonio, Texas

We all know there is more to life than working all the time. (Even though work is where we seem to spend the majority of our time!) But that just makes it more important in having life-enhancing amenities available to maximize you and your family’s social life. San Antonio certainly has all those bases well covered.

Undoubtedly, you’ve heard about the Alamo and our world-famous RiverWalk. But there is much more to San Antonio than these top-tourist attractions.

The Alamo City is home to a number of top-shelf schools for every member of the family. From exceptional elementary, middle and high schools, to top-notch private and public colleges and universities, San Antonio is rich in educational opportunities.

If you’ve ever watched any of the ‘home shows’ on television, you may have gotten a feel for the extreme fluctuation in housing prices across the country. Many homes listed in the $250k-$500k range shown on these programs are nothing more than starter homes or fixer-uppers! That’s crazy!

The Good News is that housing in San Antonio is extremely affordable! Your housing dollar goes much, much further in the S.A. real estate market. Your home purchasing power is significantly greater here than even in other popular Texas communities such as Dallas, Houston or even Austin.

There are simply too many great things about San Antonio to catalog them on this page. Click here for more information on a Hospitalist’s Lifestyle in San Antonio.

Find Out More!

Of course there is much more regarding this practice opportunity, and we’d like to share this information with you.

If you’re receptive to taking a closer look at a San Antonio Hospitalist opportunity, just fill out the following form. We’ll be in touch soon to see if San Antonio would be a good match for you and your career ambitions – and we can determine if you’d be a good match for our collegial Hospitalist team.

Doctor, thanks for taking the time to learn a bit about this exciting Texas hospitalist opportunity. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
